On the tram line: Moschato, Kallithea, Neos Kosmos
Between the coast and the centre. Priamos GLS is the smartest of the Moschato three, Platon the middle and Mary Plaza the budget one. Lacoba Hotel in Kallithea sits by the tram, and Ruby Rooms Athens in Neos Kosmos is the stylish house five minutes from Syngrou and the best of this group.
The centre
Metaxourgeio has Prive Athens, the polished one, Castle De Paris with its themed rooms from the same owners, and Bill Hotel, plain and cheap. Priamos Erato in Gazi is where an evening that started in the bars ends without a taxi. Priamos Hotel Pagrati covers the east of the centre near the stadium. Attiki Evans in Exarchia and Lydia Hotel on Liosion are the cheapest, and Liosion after dark is a street to arrive at by car.
Kifissia and the northern suburbs
The other half of our territory. Ruby Rooms Kifisia, between Kifissia and Nea Erythraia, is the best short-stay hotel in Athens and the one companions ask to be sent to. Pines Hotel and Chris Hotel are the Kifissia standbys. Lida Hotel, the Xcite house in Nea Erythraia, is modern and quiet. Priamos Boutique in Agios Dimitrios, at the Ilioupoli metro, is the group’s south-eastern house and closer to the centre than the name suggests.
Piraeus
For anyone sailing in the morning. Port Tower Piraeus is new and genuinely luxurious, The Alex in Kastella is the boutique house above the marina, Piraeus Port Hotel is the sensible harbour choice. Carol Hotel at Mikrolimano is pretty and well priced; Scorpios Sea Side and Queen Leriotis sit on the coast road; Olympic Hotel in Neo Faliro is by the tram; Lux Hotel in central Piraeus is the bare-bones room.
The west
Skaramagas, Nikaia and Chaidari have Alfa Skaramagas, Alfa Nikaia, Crystal Blue Skaramagas, Prive Skaramagas, Glaros and Markos Hotel on Iera Odos. Decent houses in an industrial part of town; forty minutes from Glyfada and not where a visitor should base a night.
